Inspired by the myth and mystery of early marine exploration, DAWN delves into themes of expansion and enlightenment, worlds of discovery within and without. The mood is striding and strong, yet also feminine and effortless, a call to the solitary spirit of adventure. 

The maiden of this voyage is Margaret Zhang, known for her enterprising vigor and for charting new courses in the fashion world. Zhang represents a new voice and face in the world of fashion, turning the tides of existing structures, she maps a new demographic, one that demands to be heard, seen, and followed. Her independent ethos overlaps with the collection’s that the journey is the reward, although what treasure lays beneath the surface can often surprise and delight. 

DAWN represents a world of awakening and realization. Tales of underwater adventure, sunken cities, shipwrecks and monsters of the deep set the scene for the collection. The L’Orage ring necklace, a “Storm” on a ring, beckons to the call of the dark and the strains of the souls captured in each phantom crystal. The Surrender range yields to the beauty of light, with iridescent white and blue Australian opals capturing the hues of the rising sun across the ocean. This season, Au Revoir Les Filles’ signature ear bar evolves to encompass the modern mood of the collection, featuring clean lines and graceful asymmetry. 

The Margaret ring is inspired by a vintage piece from Tiong’s mother, Margaret, who aptly shares the same name as Zhang. The name also alludes to Margaron, an ancient namesake meaning pearl or daughter of light. 

The Dawn cuff enchants with its solaris-like contours that are inspired by sea flowers of the watery depths, detailed with water bead-like engraving and harkening to the gauntlet of a water goddess. The Hunters choker pays homage to the frailty and savage beauty of nature, with Au Revoir Les Filles' signature barb threading through a giant fish-hook, weaving elegantly and threateningly like a stingray tail.
