THE NAME

"I was living in Paris and studying fashion design at Esmod. At the end of every class, my beloved tutor Maria bade us girls goodbye with the phrase 'Au revoir les filles'. As soon as I heard those words, I knew that it would be the name of my label. It really resonated with me... For me, it conjured up stories of romance, a reminder of the beautiful city, the incredible time I spent there and the amazing friends I got to know."

- Teresa Tiong, Founder

THE BRAND

AU REVOIR LES FILLES is a jewellery label inspired by story and romance. This story-telling philosophy has translated into its evocative campaigns, whether it is set in an underwater world of old submarines starring fashion icon Margaret Zhang, or exploring themes of love and loss through nature morte with cult catwalk model Ruby Jean Wilson
Finely crafted, the jewellery is modern yet intricate. Nuanced details can be found on even the simplest designs, from specially designed clasps gracing the back of fine necklaces, to its signature stingray barb that pushes the boundaries of adornment.
This attention to detail has lead to AU REVOIR LES FILLES being featured in press like Oyster Magazine, L'Officiel and InStyle, as well as worn by musical talents like The Veronicas, Kimbra, Emmy Winner Jeannie Mai of How Do I Look TV series, global fashion influencers like Mikutas, Talisa Sutton, Isabel Tan and Erika Bowes. The brand has showed at Capsule during NYC Fashion Week, hosted a pop-up store in Seoul, and is currently stocked online on The Iconic, Zalora, ASOS, and luxury boutiques across Australia and Asia. AU REVOIR LES FILLES is also a proud member of the Australian Fashion Council.

THE FOUNDER

AU REVOIR LES FILLES is founded by Paris trained designer Teresa Tiong. Born in Singapore, she grew up being inspired by books, film and the vintage beauty of jewellery pieces passed through her family. Tiong studied modern Hauté Couture at Esmod Paris, the first and oldest school of fashion design established in France and internationally renowned. During her studies, she picked up the L'Oreal Paris Award for her fashion illustrations. Paris was where she nurtured her love for art through weekly escapades to the museums like Musée de l'Orangerie, Pompidou and underground ossuaries like The Catacombs. Back in Sydney, Tiong spent 10 years designing for global brands like Manning Cartell, Sass & Bide and Charlie Brown before turning her attention to her own label, placing emphasis on thoughtful designs coupled with fine craftsmanship and refined details.

"I like being surrounded by beautiful things when I design, particularly mementos from the past and curiosities like albino butterflies and skulls which I've collected over the years. These keepsakes and the memories they hold inspire me to weave my story into what I design, which I hope get passed down to the wearer from generation to generation. I treasure most the jewellery handed down from my grandmother to my mother and then to me."
